CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, so CNC machined timber has been cut using a computer-controlled machine. You might imagine that human craftsmanship is the superior option, but this doesn’t tend to be the case. Here are just four reasons to keep an eye out for CNC machined timber.

1. It’s Incredibly Accurate

Probably the most obvious benefit of CNC machining is also the most compelling: precision: Since the cutting process is entirely automated, there is a very low risk of any mistakes being made. A design is created to scale, and then the CNC router takes care of everything else.
