1. Skipton to Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire
Picnic spot Bolton Abbey
The National Cycle Network takes you east from the bustling market town of Skipton with its impressive castle and regular outdoor market, through the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. Arriving at the magnificent ruins of Bolton Abbey, search out a quiet spot by the river for a picnic.
Start and finish Skipton railway station
The route 7 miles each way on quiet country roads, the route is hilly in places. Exit Skipton station, turn right and follow the main street to the top of the town, and at the roundabout bear right. After half a mile turn left on the road signed Embsay. Once in Embsay, climb the hill past the historic steam railway and turn right at the village shop and post office. Follow signs to Bolton Abbey along quiet country lanes with scenic views all the way.

Unless it’s Tweets or Facebook posts, kids just don’t do a lot of reading these days. Why should they, when they can entertain themselves with social media sites, games consoles and mobile phones, all of which require less effort than the old fashioned book?

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) has been a real miracle for couples the world over, desiring to start a family, and who, for whatever reason, have been unable to. Often times, it Is down to either a problem with the sperm of the father, such as a low sperm count. Or it may be an issue on the mother’s side either, such as egg implantation issues, to give but one example. However, since the first successful IVF birth in 1978, this method of giving life has gone from strength to strength. And it couldn’t have gone on to have the mega success that it has enjoyed, were it not for donors. (more…)

Following my commitment to general improvement of my medical knowledge and drive to help address as many client health issues as possible, I recently took a look at Diabetes and how the body is affected.  During the course of my studies, I spoke with the experts at Dtsbuyers.com. They have good knowledge of this disease and run an offer that allows people to return all unused diabetic test strips for cash. In the course of our discussions, I was directed to a study carried out at Dresden Technical University which demonstrated that daily intake of insulin can help stop the development of diabetes type 1 in children.
