So they’ve thankfully made it past that insanely fast-growing baby-toddler stage during which dressing them up was dictated to only by what actually fits them. Now they’re perhaps themselves becoming a bit more conscious about what they wear, as are you, but picking out an outfit for your children should never pose a headache for you. (more…)

It’s been a particularly tough phase, handling and dealing with so many issues without a proper break. And in the madness, you have definitely forgotten how to take care of yourself by eating on the go, eating whatever looks and smells edible, getting as little shuteye as possible, travelling for long hours and distances in the polluted city, so on and so forth. Now that the phase is through, you are finally getting a good look at yourself in the mirror and discover that you look like a train wreck. Not only has sleep deprivation robbed you of your beautiful shiny eyes, but your skin appears and feels clammy, your hair feels rough and you are all worn out and tired. Days are officially getting shorter and the nights are drawing in, the weather is getting worse and a bitter cold is upon us, making opportunities to be outside few and far between. When you have kids this is bad news as you’re left with the daily dilemma of what to do to keep them occupied (and, in my case, not bickering with each other all day long!). Cooped up kids with bags of energy can be a nightmare, so I was absolutely THRILLED when my husband invested in a little toy for himself that has proved a fabulous investment for our whole family… (more…)

A clothing store retail manager friend of mine was telling me the other day just how baffled she was at the fact that clothes continue to fly off the shelves throughout the entire week and throughout the entire month and not just when it’s been payday or when people appear to have a bit of time off to do some of their shopping. She has a point because I mean you’d think that shopping for clothes was something which is done in cycles or perhaps just once every so often, yet the rate at which clothes fly off the shelves is not unlike that of how consumable goods are bought.
