In the repressive heat of something, it’s natural to want to find ways to stay cool. For those who have central air conditioning in their homes, it can be very tempting to crank it up so much that polar bears take up residence in your bedroom. However, although taking that approach may seem like a good idea at the time, you’ll be in for a shock when you get your energy bill at the end of the month. All of that cold air doesn’t come cheap! Fortunately, you don’t have to choose between staying cool and having a few bucks in your wallet. There are things you can do to reduce your energy costs while staying comfortably cool all summer long.

I love being a wife and a mother but, sometimes I just need a break from my hectic schedule. There is not a day that passes that I am not on the go from morning until night. When I finally get the two kids to bed I take a little time for me by going to my free slots app on my IPhone and play some free slots. They have over 55 games for me to choose from, and it gives me the opportunity to have some adult fun and not just be a mum and wife twenty-four hours a day! (more…)

BMW 5-SERIES £33,315-£51,270
1 Buy this and you won’t have to forgo the driving fun just because you need to be able to cart kids around: with its handling it puts many smaller, lighter cars to shame. The 5-series is, simply, brilliant. On offer is a range of four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, which are efficient and mostly muscular too. Whatever variant you buy, you’ll almost certainly love it, but we reckon the best is the 520d, which can crack 60mpg while having a strong appetite for the cut and thrust of everyday driving. (more…)

Who doesn’t love the idea of emerging shivering from the surf to pour hot tomato soup from a Thermos, shoulders wrapped in a Welsh wool blanket? The drizzle-and-shine British country holiday in Cornwall, Norfolk or Pembrokeshire, restyled for Instagram, is the aspirational break of the moment. Now, thanks to suppliers such as Baker + Bell, Wild + Wood, Pedlars and Toast, our holiday fantasies can be played out at home in urban gardens, without getting a grain of sand in our sarnies.

Most every kid in the UK, Canada, Australia and The United States has played Darts at one time or another as they grow up. The Game is, in fact, popular around the Globe. As adults we still play Darts in our Pubs and Bars because it’s just as much fun as when we were children.

Since becoming a wife and the mother of two finding time to get out of the house for adult activities is almost non-existent. My best time to get my fun in is while my husband is at work, the five year old is at school, and the two year old is taking a nap. This is when I log on to Caesar Casino to have a little fun. Caesar’s has been one of the foremost casinos in Las Vegas and now I can bring the thrill of it into my home. Without ever leaving the house I can play slots, black jack, roulette, poker, and much more – loads of free casino slot games no download no registration, so you can log on and play in no time! Eeeek … Eeek… Eeek… the closets are calling! You know exactly why. Slowly, you open them …. Boom! You see stuff and more stuff. Where did they come from? Well, they are things you bought and used only once; stuff you bought and planned to use soon; clothes you fit in twenty years ago; toys played by your now grown-up kids when they were toddlers! So many things! So little space! Well, there is only one solution … GET RID OF THEM! Clean your home once and for all. (more…)

There are photos of our children everywhere. We have them on our phones, our iPads, our cameras, our computers, our FaceBook accounts and our walls. There are albums of pics we have printed out, and canvas art prints we’ve hung up. Photography is so easy and accessible nowadays that we take it for granted. We change our profile pictures, our screensavers and our digital photo frame files weekly. With infinite amounts of data storage available to us, we could keep every photo we ever took. If you had to whittle your enormous portfolio down to just 5 photos, how would you choose? (more…)

We’ve had the Waitrose effect, now it’s the yummy mummy factor. “Young families tend to have lengthier wish lists than most,” suggests Lawrence Hall of Zoopla. “It goes beyond commuting links and school catchment areas. Now it’s a thriving community with family-friendly pubs and artisan coffee shops that top the list.” Belinda Aspinall, founder of Lifeafterlondon.com, says: “People tend to follow family rather than friends and often begin their search in the general direction of, but not actually where, their parents live.” Here are 20 confirmed family-friendly towns and villages that just may have you reaching for a map.
