Another winter is going to be knocking on our door soon. As a parent that always did beyond the maximum for my kids I am setting up a mission called the best hand to keep you warm is mom’s hands. My mission was to make Christmas jumpers for my kids, to some this is not big challenge but to me it is the first time I am jumping into jumpers. (more…)

Starting university can be really tough, especially if you don’t have any financial support from your family. Making your student loan and, if you’re eligible, maintenance grant stretch as far as possible is a real art in itself. Upon looking on other websites, it has become pretty clear that people like to understate the real cost of some quite essential items, such as bills, nights out and rent, so I decided to make my own, more realistic budgeting guide. The first thing that you can do, is forget about the £9,000 per year that you are ‘paying’ for tuition, you’ll probably never end up paying it back in its entirety anyway, so don’t worry about it. The rest, well, you should probably put some real thought into. If you are subject to a rather strict financial situation, then you’re going to have really budget your way through uni, whilst still getting the maximum experience at the same time. (more…)

A neatly trimmed and level hedge can completely transform any outdoor area. Hedges are very much like borders around a page, and to improve the space you will want a tidy hedge.
